Nightmare Villa Luna Sivota

WARNING

I took ten family members to Villa Luna, in July 2024. It was a massive mistake.

The villa is on the side of a steep hill. It got to 38 degrees and there was not a single parasol for shade. The pergola provides no shade at all, as the sun shines straight through it and under it. It was unbearable for all but especially the children.

The villa is very very old, worn-out, and is in need of a complete rip out and renovation.

The villa is actually part of a hotel complex, the staff are unbelievably rude. There is a cleaner (a hotel employee) who is the rudest person i have ever met. She sneaks in to the villa at 6am each morning, going around taking photos of historic issues and damage and sending them to other hotel staff, who burst in to the villa complex during the daytime, showing you photos on their phone of decades old damage and demanding you pay for it.

The cleaner also uses the villas washing machine to wash towels at 6am in the morning. Everyone is woken up by the washing machine, which is completely overloaded with towels thrashing and banging around.

I have included a photo of a photo taken from Solmar Villas website, as that is who we booked with, showing what is advertised and another that i took, showing the reality. A dark, dingy villa, murky green and unfiltered pool water, with only one pool light working.

The pool was once white inside, all of the white has now worn off and is left only in small patches. the steps and bottom of the pool are now some form of cement with sharp bits that really hurt your feet. See photos.

Only one jet in the jacuzzi was working and so that was entirely unusable. See photos.

Decking was broken. See photos.

The main toilet had feces in the bowel when we arrived and the toilet seat was snapped right down the middle. See photos.

Another toilet in the property was not connected to the floor, had years of silicone around the base that was stained yellow. See photos.

The furniture around the pool was disgusting. Old, worn, dirty and broken. The table was warped and broken and the sofa had a snapped leg and was so filthy, it was almost too much to take in. It made me feel sick. See photos.

The pool had only one light working. the lights in the pool were hanging out of the pool wall, exposing wires under the water. See photos.

The gym was also a disgrace. It was covered in cat and bird excrement and had not been cleaned before we arrived, with chalk thrown everywhere. it was totally unusable and even after we complained it was never cleaned. See photos.

Whatever you do, do not waste your money on this villa. it is horrendous. Absolutely horrendous
